Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco Arrival

Welcome to Cusco! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by our local representative (he/she will be holding a sign with your names on it for easy identification). You will then be transferred directly to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy some free time to rest, relax, and settle in before your afternoon workshop.

Introductory "Intention Setting" Workshop

At 3:00 PM you will begin your healing journey with a 2 hour introductory workshop: “The Pillars of Wellness” — an exploration of the Circle of Life aimed to provide clarity as you set forth your intentions for the coming journey.

Evening Yoga Session

At 5:30 PM this evening you will participate in a 1 hour Restorative Yoga session at the Antigua Casona Hotel (practice will be held in their rooftop room). Moon salutations offer a soft and restorative practice with asanas, or postures, to restore your back after the long travel journey, followed by a meditation to set your intentions for this wellness experience.

After yoga, enjoy a 7:00 PM welcome dinner at Pachapapa restaurant.

Day 2: Cusco

Morning Sun Salutations

Start your day at 7:00 AM with a brief but energizing 20 minute Sun Salutation practice, "waking up the senses" and energizing the body for the day ahead. Afterward, have a delicious breakfast at the hotel.

Hike to the Temple of the Moon

At 8:45 AM you'll set off on a round trip hike to the Temple of the Moon. Here you will experience a K’intu initiation ceremony, followed by a gentle guided meditation. Today's focus: Establishing a merging of intentions and personal energy within the sacred land that surrounds us. Activity duration: approximately 4 hours.

After your hike, enjoy a healthy and nourishing lunch in Cusco at Green's Organic restaurant.

Andean Superfood Workshop

This afternoon from 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM you will enjoy a Superfood workshop at the hotel: 'Introduction to Andean Superfoods and the Magic of Peruvian Food Culture’—followed by a visit to the San Pedro Market to learn about the top 10 Andean superfoods, their properties, and different ways to prepare them in order to activate their nutrients.

This evening at 7:00 PM you will meet for a short 30 minute trip briefing, followed by dinner at Mutu Restaurant.

Everyday Essentials Yoga

Rise and shine! The day begins at 6:00 AM with a 1-hour restorative yoga practice focused on stretching your wrists, shoulders, hips, and back to help loosen up the body and mind. Following class enjoy a tasty breakfast before setting off for the Sacred Valley at 7:30 AM.

Pisaq Market & Viacha Farm Visit

After a 1 hour drive, you'll arrive in the charming town of Pisaq. Here you'll experience the colorful market and the beautiful botanical gardens. From there you'll continue on to Viacha, where you'll have the opportunity to participate in traditional Andean farming practices alongside members of the local community. Around 12:15 PM you will enjoy a delicious Pachamanca lunch. After filling your belly you'll enjoy a 1 hour (mostly downhill) hike to the ruins of Pisaq, offering a unique and captivating birdseye view of these impressive ruins. After the hike, you'll enter the archaeological complex for your guided tour.

At 4:00 PM you'll be met by the vehicle for the 30 minute drive to Lamay Lodge. Check-in and enjoy some time to settle in before your evening practice.

Evening Restorative Yoga

Tonight at 6:00 PM enjoy a 1 hour restorative yoga practice at your lodge. Focus: Re-centering ourselves by integrating the multiple energies received during our full-day journey.

After yoga you'll meet for your daily trip briefing, followed by a delicious dinner.

Day 4: Lamay - Huacahuasi

Morning Ashtanga Yoga Practice

This morning at 7:00 AM you will enjoy an energizing and dynamic Ashtanga practice (1 hour class). Enjoy a nourishing breakfast at the lodge.

Ayurveda Wellness Workshop

At 9:00 AM you will participate in a wellness workshop at the lodge: ‘Ayurveda for Life’ — Ayurveda is known as the life science that is complementary to yoga. During this workshop, we will explore our doshas (body and mind constitutions) and examine modifications to lead each of us toward an improved lifestyle.

Into the Heart of Lares

At 10:15 AM you will depart for the Lares Valley. You will be able to chose one of the following activity options:

Activity A (12: 15 PM - 3:30 PM): Excursion to meet the expert textile weavers of the Choquecancha community including an introduction to Andean natural textile dyes and coca leaf reading. (approximately 3.5 hours)

Activity B (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM): Hike from Cuncani to Huacahuasi Lodge.

Pranayama Breathing Wellness Workshop

At 6:00 PM you will enjoy a 1-hour wellness workshop at your new lodge! Tonight's focus is on 'Pranayama Breathing’— Pranayama technique workshop to guide our bodies and minds into a deep state of relaxation. Dinner and trip briefing will follow.

Day 5: Huacahuasi - Urubamba

Mysore Ashtanga Yoga

Enjoy a little bit of freedom today in your yoga this morning! Mysore Ashtanga Yoga Method: Build your own practice - Mysore offers the opportunity for a personalized posture sequence adapted to each individual student. Class Duration: 6:45 AM - 7:45 AM.

Maracocha, Pachamama Ceremony, and Hike to Ollantaytambo

After a healthy breakfast, at 8:45 AM take a scenic 1 hour and 30 minute drive to the Marcacocha archaeological site. Here you'll have the opportunity to participate in a traditional Pachamama ceremony. After this incredibly spiritual experience, you'll depart around 11:30 AM for Pumamarka (transfer duration: 45 minutes). Here you'll visit the archaeological site and enjoy a picnic lunch.

At 2:00 PM you'll begin your 2 hour hike from Pumamarka to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo you'll be driven to your lodge in Urubamba, arriving around 4:30 PM.

Philosophy Workshop: The Heart of Yoga

Tonight at 5:00 PM you will participate in a Philosophy Workshop: ‘The Heart of Yoga’ - Discussion of the eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga, including ethical principles like yamas and niyamas. (1 hour and 30 minutes). At 7:30 PM you'll have dinner and trip briefing at the lodge.

Day 6: Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu Pueblo

Mysore Ashtanga Yoga & Ollantaytambo Ruins

Another beautiful day practicing the Mysore Ashtanga Yoga Method and individual posture sequence exploration (Class Duration: 7:00 AM - 8:15 AM). After class enjoy breakfast at the lodge.

At 9:30 AM you will depart to visit the archeological site of Ollantaytambo. After your visit, you'll transfer to the train station for your scenic 1.5 hour journey to Aguas Calientes.

Machu PIcchu Guided Tour

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes train station, you will walk to the bus station for the 30-minute ride up to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. At 2:00 PM your guide will provide a 2-hour introductory tour of the evocative ruins. You will also have time for some individual exploration before making the return journey back down to Aguas Calientes. Settle into your new hotel and relax and freshen up before your dinner and briefing this evening.

Day 7: Machu Picchu Pueblo - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

Mandor Nature Preserve Hike & Sun Salutations

This beautiful morning you might want to take an optional early morning stroll (approximately 1 hour - depart at 6:30 AM) through the lush orchid gardens and tea plantation at the hotel.

After a delicious breakfast, at 9:00 AM you will hike to the Mandor Nature Preserve followed by an energizing Sun Salutations variations practice. At the end of the session, you will revisit the Circle of Life to examine the attainment of our wellness experience intentions. Activity Duration: 2.5 hours).

At 1:00 PM enjoy lunch at the hotel restaurant before boarding the return train journey back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo you will be met and driven the rest of the way to Cusco.

At 8:00 PM you will enjoy your final farewell dinner!

After a lunch break, take your last scenic train ride from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. Then, private transport from Ollantaytambo back to Cusco. Unfortunately, the beautiful journey is about to end. Tonight, regroup with everyone and have a last delicious farewell dinner.

Day 8: Cusco Departure
