Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi Arrival

Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival in Nairobi's international airport at 8:10 PM, you will be met by your private driver and transferred to your hotel. Check in and enjoy the remainder of the day free.
Day 2: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Lodge & Game Drive Activities
Today you will be transferred directly into Amboseli National Park. This is the ideal location to view large herds of elephants and plains game, including giraffes, gazelles, lions, leapords, etc. roaming the plains. After lunch at your lodge, you will spend the afternoon game driving through the park with your safari guide.
Total driving time to your lodge is about 4.5 hours (215km)
Days 3 - 4: Amboseli National Park

Enjoy these days of game driving in Amboseli National Park. The park features all of Africa's Big 5, as well as the largest population of swamp elephants in the country. The park also offers magnificent views of Mt Kilimanjaro throughout.

This morning you will be transferred to the Amboseli airstrip for your 9:05 am flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival at 9:50 am you'll connect with the 10:00 am flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival in the Mara at 11:00 am you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to the Mara Sopa Lodge, enjoying a game drive enroute.
The vast grassland plains of the Mara are scattered with herds of zebra, giraffe, gazelle and topi as well as lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant and buffalo among others. Each year the Mara plays host to the world's greatest natural spectacle, the Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti.
Day 6: Masai Mara

Today you will enjoy a hot air balloon safari over the Mara. This flight will give you a birds eye view, of the best East Africa has to offer, in the magnificent setting of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 8: Masai Mara

Today you will leave your lodge and game drive to your next accommodations in the Mara. Check in and enjoy the facilities and activities on offer at your camp.
Ashnil Mara Camp, with 40 luxury tents, is located in the Maasai Mara National Reserve and close to the Mara River famous for the wildebeest migration.
Total driving time to your lodge is about 2 hours (50km).

This morning you will be transferred from your camp to the local airstrip for your flight to Nairobi departing at 11:00 am. On arrival at 12:15 pm you will be met and transferred to your hotel, House of Waine, for lunch.
Afternoon Tour
This afternoon you will embark on a tour of the Giraffe Center, to learn about the breeding program of the endangered Rothschild Giraffe, you may have a chance to feed giraffes from a raised platform. Next head to Karen Blixen Museum. the former home of the Danish author. Finish at Bomas of Kenya (or Kazuri Beads) to learn about the rich and diverse cultural values of various tribal groups of Kenya.
After your tour you will be transferred back to your hotel. Enjoy your last night at leisure.
Day 12: Nairobi Departure

Eka Hotel
The Eka Hotel is ideally located along Mombasa Road in Nairobi, the bustling capital city of Kenya. The property is ideally situated just minutes away from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and the Wilson Airport. With convenient access to all of the city's most popular tourist attractions, such as Nairobi National Park, Karen Blixen Museum, National Museum and the Giraffe Center, this hotel is a great base from which to explore. The guest rooms offer the very best in comfort, accessibility and efficiency. Each air-conditioned room is equipped with a flat screen TV, complimentary internet access, safety box and mini bar.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge
Nestled in 190 acres of wooded Masai lands, the lodge sits on the foothills of Africa's highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. Mature wooded gardens with a variety of trees and plants from thorn trees to acacias, fragrant frangipanis, colorful bougainvilleas and giant cactus plants thrive in these surroundings. Rustic, well spaced cottages meander through the vast expanse of our mature gardens and house our eighty three guest rooms. These are all brightly decorated with Maasai themed wall murals, and each room has been purpose built to contain either one or two queen sized beds as well as a veranda. We also have a luxuriously appointed, extremely spacious, two bedroom Presidential suite with a private dining room and an attached kitchenette, and also with a huge lounge and a quite simply vast veranda.
Mara Sopa Lodge
Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their center. The lodge has fifty guest cottages divided into two wings to either side of the main public areas. Each of these house two spacious guest rooms with queen and king size beds; mosquito nets; electronic safes; dressing tables; en-suite bathrooms and sheltered verandas that all have views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond.
Ashnil Mara Camp
Ashnil Mara Camp is located in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, close by to the Mara River. This region, famous for the great wildebeest migration sightings, is the perfect home base for an unforgettable safari experience. The camp boasts 40 luxury tents, which overlook the beautiful massive plains of the Maasai Mara. The tents include luxury en suite bathrooms, walk in closets and a sun deck, perfect for relaxing and watching the game go about their daily habits. Facilities at the camp include a restaurant, lounge bar, clinic/infirmary, swimming pool and a souvenir shop.
House of Waine
House of Waine is a family owned and run property and this is reflected in the name Waine which is made up of the initials of the family members. Originally a family house, it was lovingly converted to a boutique hotel and eventually opened in 2004. The interior design takes its cue from the Matriarch of the family and is imbued with a timeless elegance much like her. House of Waine is the realization of a generations long dream that all started with our maternal Grandfather, an entrepreneur who started a “mkahawa” or coffee shop in Mwiria Village in Meru in the 1950’s. Like our Grandfather and Mother we take a practical yet warm approach to hospitality.
