This beach does not have many visitors, so it is perfect to explore without the crowds!
You will then head to the Karma beach beach club for lunch (on own account) and time to relax. Set in Bali’s most stunning cove at Karma Kandara, Karma Beach Bali is a breathtaking tropical oasis. Tonight, get ready for an artistic and colorful dinner in one of the hottest spots in all of Bali! Ubud especially, is becoming a culinary Mecca in Indonesia, and this evening you will enjoy a first hand taste of that. Chefs from all over the world are opening up restaurants that are quickly becoming the talk of Asia. One such venue, Room 4 Dessert, has been created by the genius of Will Goldfarb, a charismatic New York chef that has made Ubud his home and embraced the local lifestyle. He replicated his New York venue here, with raving success. Tonight, experience a unique and delicious tasting menu of his most famous desserts paired with cocktails. It will be a night to remember, make it a special occasion or just a fun dining experience!
Ubud is considered the cultural heartland of Bali, famous for its iconic rice terraces and countless Hindu temples, where painters, mask makers, sculptors, stone and wood carvers, dancers and musicians thrive. Ubud also offers visitors the opportunity to explore Bali's natural beauty serving as a base camp for adventure activities including volcano trekking, river rafting, cycling and canyoneering.
Ubud is changing fast and this morning, you will have the opportunity to witness its golden hour of dawn. Beginning from your hotel at 5:30 AM, you will be led on a leisurely stroll through the colorful Ubud market, quiet village lanes, lush fields and green forest. Stop to admire the sky as the morning sun rises and a new beautiful day in Bali begins. Keep your eyes out for the herons taking flight for a truly elegant sight. As the warmth of the sun starts to rise, you will enjoy a small picnic in a local farmer's hut, settled high up in the rice fields. This is the perfect spot from where to sit and soak in the morning ambiance of Bali. The peace, the quite and the unspoiled beauty. Descending through the rice fields, on your way back into the growing "town" of Ubud, your tour will pass by the Monkey Forest. Observe the action of these new furry friends, before your walk finishes with a delightful morning coffee and a relaxing spa treat.
Please keep in mind that although many of the sights you will explore on this walk are stunning and exemplify the beauty of Ubud, this tour will also incorporate the city's rampant development, which can be quite the eye opening experience. We invite you to share ideas and discuss how to keep Ubud's tourism sustainable, proceeding your first hand cultural interaction. After the walk, you will be served a delicious lunch from a local Thai restaurant. Following lunch you'll be driven back to your hotel arriving around 1:00 PM. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. (This service is on a private basis.)
Today, you have another adventurous activity in Bali as you cycle through its heartland, traveling downhill via secret back roads to experience typical Balinese daily life and enjoy the beautiful Balinese countryside. You will be picked-up from your hotel and brought to Kintamani where a light breakfast will be served. Here you can enjoy a view of the biggest and most active volcano in Bali called Mt. Batur with its amazing lake. After a short safety briefing, start your 27 km downhill cycling tour through rural back roads and small villages. Enjoy the fresh air at mountain villages with friendly local people.
In one of the small villages, you will have the opportunity to visit their Village Temple. At Apuan Village, we will show you the ‘Dry Rice’ called Gaga rice which can only grow in the highlands during rainy-season. Your cycling tour will finish at Tampak Siring. Which is located opposite spectacular rice terraces. Your delicious lunch will be served at a local restaurant. (This service is on a private basis.)
Another adventurous day awaits! Experience a different side of Mount Batur through cycling and kayaking. First drive up through the lingering mists of Kintamani to the rim of the ancient Batur caldera. We descend into the caldera to mount our bikes for a 9 kilometres ride on a sealed road among the undulating plains of historic lava flows. Visit waterfalls, springs, caverns, lava formations, and ash cones while your guide explains how the various eruptions have formed the present landscape.
After enjoying the cycling we will visit some local temples and learn of their past and present significance, before crossing the lake by kayak. We paddle from the pagoda of Pura Patirtan (Holy water temple), part of the Pura Jati complex at the ancient site of Batur village, across to Dalem Pingit pagoda on the shores of Kedisan village. A floating restaurant is our final oasis. Here, time stands still while you are treated to tea and local delicacies. (This service is on a private basis.)
You will be picked up by our guide from your hotel for this fun full-day adventure to East Bali, an area that is rarely explored by outsiders, despite having some of the best examples of rice terraces, traditional temples, and villages. You will visit the palace of Klungkung with its special paintings. Enjoy fantastic views of the rice terraces and Mount Agung in the distance. Pay a visit to Goa Lawah temple in Klungkung, home to thousands of bats living inside the temple cave. And finally visit the tranquil water palace of Tirtagangga and walk through Tenganan village, a traditional community of the Bali Aga – the indigenous people of Bali – who weave the valuable double- ikat cloth. In the afternoon you will be transferred to your Villa. (This service is on a private basis.)
East Bali is sometimes referred to as the ‘real Bali’ by visitors as it feels like stepping back in time compared to the bustling Southern part of the Island. The district of Karangasem offers incredible scenery including rice fields, sweeping bays and black sand beaches with Mt. Agung in the background.
Now, is the perfect time to really indulge in your honeymoon. Just relax and explore your new surroundings at your leisure. There are surf breaks nearby and surf guides can be arranged by the staff at your villa. A ten-minute drive away is a often deserted white sand beach (Pasir Putih) about a half-mile long with lovely swimming and a few warungs serving fresh seafood and cold drinks right on the sand. There are also plenty of dive-centers in Amed and Tulamben which offer excursions to the most beautiful coral reefs of Indonesia and wreck diving.
You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:30 AM this morning, for an exciting snorkeling adventure about one hour away in Amed. Amed boasts the best snorkeling and diving opportunities in East Bali. Take a dive on the incredible US Liberty Wreck and witness the fantastic array of corals and marine life that have made the 120m structure their home. Alternatively enjoy a calm inspection of one of the area’s vibrant coral reefs and see just how varied the marine life on Bali can be. Macro enthusiasts will love Seraya Secrets and Noisy Reef, where an unusual array of marine life can be found at any time of day. Have fun exploring the wonders of the underwater world. After some time in the water you'll return to the mainland and transfer by car the rest of the way to your villa arriving back around 1:00 PM, where you can spend the afternoon at your leisure. (This service is on a group basis.)
Enjoy your final day in Bali at your leisure.
Although it will not be easy, the time has come to say goodbye to Bali. However, you will be leaving with unforgettable memories and the experience of a lifetime! After checking out of your Villa, you will be met by your driver and transferred back to the Denpasar Airport (approximately 2 hours) in good time to board your international departure flight. (This service is on a private basis.)
