Today you will meet your guide in the morning for your transfer to Ubud with some stops at the interesting places along the way.
You will visit one of Bali's most spectacular sites, Tanah Lot Temple, one of the most photographed temples in the world. It is perched on a barren rock outcrop, and at high tide is completely surrounded by the ocean. The itinerary we choose follows a beautiful road and has stops at many wonderful places including the famous sea temple, Tanah Lot. This is usually visited during sunset but this has become so popular that is best to see it in the morning when is quieter.
Afterwards, you’ll be driven to Tampak Siring to see the holy spring-water temple of Tirta Empul. The natural waters here are believed to contain mystical healing and rejuvenating properties. Continue to Ubud to check in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Ubud is considered the cultural heartland of Bali, famous for its iconic rice terraces and countless Hindu temples, where painters, mask makers, sculptors, stone and wood carvers, dancers and musicians thrive. Ubud also offers visitors the opportunity to explore Bali's natural beauty serving as a base camp for adventure activities including volcano trekking, river rafting, cycling and canyoneering.
Ubud is changing fast and this morning, you will have the opportunity to witness its golden hour of dawn. Beginning from your hotel at 5:30 AM, you will be led on a leisurely stroll through the colorful Ubud market, quiet village lanes, lush fields and green forest. Stop to admire the sky as the morning sun rises and a new beautiful day in Bali begins. Keep your eyes out for the herons taking flight for a truly elegant sight. As the warmth of the sun starts to rise, you will enjoy a small picnic in a local farmer's hut, settled high up in the rice fields. This is the perfect spot from where to sit and soak in the morning ambiance of Bali. The peace, the quite and the unspoiled beauty. Descending through the rice fields, on your way back into the growing "town" of Ubud, your tour will pass by the Monkey Forest. Observe the action of these new furry friends, before your walk finishes with a delightful morning coffee and a relaxing spa treat.
Please keep in mind that although many of the sights you will explore on this walk are stunning and exemplify the beauty of Ubud, this tour will also incorporate the city's rampant development, which can be quite the eye opening experience. We invite you to share ideas and discuss how to keep Ubud's tourism sustainable, proceeding your first hand cultural interaction. (This service is on a private basis.)
One of the most remarkable ways of discovering Bali is through the people and the unique art forms the island is known for all over the world. This afternoon around 2:00 PM, you will be met at the hotel by your guide and driver, to experience a day in the life of a Balinese artist. This half day program will reveal the secrets behind Bali's artistic soul. The island has long been a magnet for the arts and Ubud is it's epicenter. The opportunity for you to interact with local artists at their homes and workshops, will open doors to a world that is normally hidden from the sight of travelers. This is an ideal chance to meet and photograph interesting local people in their element.
Your tour will finish with a lovely dinner served by a host family in a Balinese home, before you are transferred back to your hotel. As one of the signature programs in Bali, today will be a great chance for you to see the real Bali first hand, normally never experienced by visitors. Any traveler can buy a piece of art in a showroom, but very few can say they've met the masters themselves! (This service is on a private basis.)

Don't let the small, dusty appearance fool you, the extraordinary marine life, idyllic views and breathtaking sunsets, have quickly caught the attention of travelers in the more recent years. The main street in the town has upgraded with rows of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars. Of course, It is still best recognized as the launching point for the nearby Komodo Island and Rinca Island, home of the Komodo dragons!

The Tandjung Sari is an ageless beauty. At more than fifty years old, this small hotel on Sanur beach, shaded by huge trees and quietly sheltering treasure at every turn, remains serene, discreet and elegantly modest. The Tandjung Sari did not intend to become the seminal boutique hotel of tropical Asia. it began in 1962 as a place to spend the night for its owner Wija Wawo-Runtu (1926–2001) and his English wife Judith when they came to Bali from Jakarta on shopping trips for their antiques business. Soon extra bungalows were built to accommodate friends, then friends of friends. It became a hotel almost without anyone noticing it; but within a few years it was internationally renowned among smart people as the place to stay, if you could get in.
