Whether you are looking for luxurious beachfront romance, vibrant nightlife or simple adventure, Seminyak is the place to be!
Seminyak is the spa and boutique shopping center of Bali. It is hard to imagine that only ten years ago, this was a distinctly separate village and something of a backwater.
In the afternoon, your tour guide picks you up at your resort for an orientation walk of Seminyak. Pass by hip and inventive fashion boutiques, designer stores, and art studios such as the renowned John Hardy Gallery well-known for its hand-crafted jewelry. Today you will meet your guide in the morning for your transfer to Ubud with some stops at the interesting places along the way.
You will visit one of Bali's most spectacular sites, Tanah Lot Temple, one of the most photographed temples in the world. It is perched on a barren rock outcrop, and at high tide is completely surrounded by the ocean. The itinerary we choose follows a beautiful road and has stops at many wonderful places including the famous sea temple, Tanah Lot. This is usually visited during sunset but this has become so popular that is best to see it in the morning when is quieter.
Afterwards, you’ll be driven to Tampak Siring to see the holy spring-water temple of Tirta Empul. The natural waters here are believed to contain mystical healing and rejuvenating properties. Continue to Ubud to check in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. (This service is on a private basis)
Ubud is considered the cultural heartland of Bali, famous for its iconic rice terraces and countless Hindu temples, where painters, mask makers, sculptors, stone and wood carvers, dancers and musicians thrive. Ubud also offers visitors the opportunity to explore Bali's natural beauty serving as a base camp for adventure activities including volcano trekking, river rafting, cycling and canyoneering.
Ubud is changing fast and this morning, you will have the opportunity to witness its golden hour of dawn. Beginning from your hotel at 5:30 AM, you will be led on a leisurely stroll through the colorful Ubud market, quiet village lanes, lush fields and green forest. Stop to admire the sky as the morning sun rises and a new beautiful day in Bali begins. Keep your eyes out for the herons taking flight for a truly elegant sight. As the warmth of the sun starts to rise, you will enjoy a small picnic in a local farmer's hut, nestled high up in the rice fields. This is the perfect spot from where to sit and soak in the morning ambiance of Bali. The peace, the quite and the unspoiled beauty. Descending through the rice fields, on your way back into the growing "town" of Ubud, your tour will pass by the Monkey Forest. Observe the action of these new furry friends, before your walk finishes with a delightful morning coffee and a relaxing spa treat.
Please keep in mind that although many of the sights you will explore on this walk are stunning and exemplify the beauty of Ubud, this tour will also incorporate the city's rampant development, which can be quite the eye opening experience. We invite you to share ideas and discuss how to keep Ubud's tourism sustainable, proceeding your first hand cultural interaction. (This service is on a private basis.)

It really is a dream to meet and photograph the fascinating local people in their most authentic element. This slightly rundown harbor town, once known only as a small fishing village, has blossomed into a lively epicenter of tourism. Don't let the small, dusty appearance fool you, the extraordinary marine life, idyllic views and breathtaking sunsets, have quickly caught the attention of travelers in the more recent years. The main street in the town has upgraded with rows of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars. Of course, It is still best recognized as the launching point for the nearby Komodo Island and Rinca Island, home of the Komodo dragons!
After a lovely breakfast on the boat this morning, you will cruise to Rinca to visit the fascinating komodo dragons in their natural environment. Accompanied by guides from the National Park, you will embark on a leisurely walk to catch your first glimpse of these giant lizards. These impressive creatures grow up to ten feet in length and weigh up to 330 pounds! You may also see the rare megapode, a strange bird endemic to only a few of the Indonesian islands, that incubates its eggs in rotting vegetable matter! We know Rinca will be a highlight of your trip, as very few visitors to the National Park ever get this far off the beaten path.
One of the most treasured hidden gems in the area is Pink Beach, where particles of red coral wash ashore mixing with the pristine white sand to produce a gorgeous pink hue. Snorkeling can also be practiced here to observe the spectacular underwater coral and abundant marine life. You may also sail to Kanawa Island for the opportunity to relax, take in the rich marine ecosystem and enjoy its pristine beaches and snorkeling or scuba diving adventures. Komodo National Park is located in the Lesser Sunda Islands, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores. In total, it is comprised of the three primary islands, Komodo, Padar and Rinca, alongside over 25 smaller islands. We will visit some of the villages located on the islands next to the Komodo National Marine Park. Its inhabitants are mostly of the low ethnic group. This town known as the gypsies of the sea has maintained its traditions of nomadic sailors furrowing the waters of the Indonesian archipelago with their small boats. We will sail between small uninhabited islands to one of these paradisiacal islands with white sand beaches where we will have the opportunity to relax and contemplate its rich marine ecosystem.
