The lifestyle in the second-most northern capital city in the world is full of contrasts and activities in the form of hundreds of events and friendly people. Helsinki’s identity has been formed by cultural influences from both the East and West. The beauty of the surrounding nature blends seamlessly together with high-tech achievements, while old traditions mix with the latest contemporary trends. The city center has many beautiful parks, and the nearby forests offer an ideal setting for peaceful and quiet walks. Today's private tour begins in front of the Old Market Hall (Vanha kauppahalli), offering a great introduction to local cuisine. Your guide will then share insider tips at Market Square (Kauppatori). Over the course of the 2-hour walk, you’ll explore the most beautiful streets in Helsinki's center, including Esplanadi and Bulevardi, pass through the Design District Helsinki, and visit the charming art nouveau neighborhood of Punavuori. The tour concludes at the Hietalahti Market Hall, where you can enjoy lunch or shop for organic and local delicacies. Along the way, you'll sample local specialties, including bread, cheese, fish, coffee with pastries, seasonal berries, chocolate, reindeer, and salmiakki (Finnish salt liquorice). Day Cruise to Tallinn (Round-Trip)

This day trip to Medieval Tallinn offers a ferry ride from Helsinki to Estonia’s charming capital! We've included tickets in the Comfort Lounge for the 10:30AM ferry on the Tallink Silja Line. The journey takes 2 hours to reach Tallinn.

Tallinn Walking Tour

You will meet your Tallinn guide when you disembark the ferry. Your 3-hour guided tour offers a more detailed exploration of Tallinn, covering both well-preserved medieval structures and contemporary Estonian life. The tour reveals the mix of cultural narratives and architectural styles that make Tallinn a captivating destination for all kinds of travelers. Following a lovely stay in Helsinki, you will be met and transferred to the airport in good time for your domestic flight.

Upon arrival to Ivalo Airport, you will be met by a Galdu Hotel representative and driven to your accommodations for check-in. The drive takes just 30 minutes. Regular check-in time is not until 3PM but we have requested an early check-in time which is subject to availability on the day. A guaranteed early-check in may require added costs. Lunch is not currently included but on request (or payable locally directly to the hotel's restaurant). You can always use the common areas of the hotel until your room is ready. Sami Culture & Reindeer Farm Private Tour

Step into the Sámi heritage at the Siida Sámi Museum, named “European Museum of the Year 2024.” This full-day private experience brings you closer to the traditions, stories, and the deep connection between the Sámi people and Arctic Nature. Guided by a local expert, you will gain insights not only into history, but also into the modern-day life and presence of the indigenous Sámi in Lapland. After the visit to Siida, you will have the chance to experience an exclusive visit to a traditional reindeer herder’s farm. This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel by a private driver and transfer about 4 hours to Kirkenes, across the border in Norway. In Kirkenes, you'll have about 3.5-4 hours to do the tour and crab meal before needing to return 4 hours back to Saariselka. Private Tour of Kirkenes

Upon arrival in Kirkenes, meet your local private guide for your 2 hour tour of Kirkenes. Enjoy sightseeing in this Norwegian town 250 miles above the Arctic Circle. There will be photo stops around town (including a fjord view and the Boris Gleb Russian Orthodox Church across the river) and a visit to the Russian/Norway border at Storskog. Your guide will be a local expert who’ll share insights into the town’s history, culture, and its connections with Finland and Russia. You’ll visit some of the best viewpoints, discover hidden spots, and have time to capture great photos along the way.
