Welcome to Cuba! You will be picked up at the airport in Havana and transferred to your hotel. Before arriving at your hotel, you will stop at a currency exchange center to exchange your cash. (This service is on a private basis.)

Havana Welcome Tour & Dinner

Start your tour in Havana by stepping back in time and immersing yourself in the iconic and historic Old Havana with your guide. Explore and discuss real Cuban life and its many wonders. You will get to see places such as Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral, Taller de Gráfica, a local store where Cubans use the ration card, local tenements called Solares, and more.

Afterward, kick-off your cultural immersion on a private terrace with fresh-made mojitos and live local musicians playing Cuban classics. Explore a must-see Cuban art installation and the center of Havana nightlife with your guide.

Tonight, you will be dining at one of Havana’s trendiest restaurants Tierra, serving international food, located inside the VIP section of the famous Fábrica de Arte Cubano. After dinner, mingle with local artists and musicians and enjoy live music from an elevated VIP seating area. The dress code is casual island chic (jeans and a fashionable shirt for men. Havana, the Cuban capital city, is located on the western side of Cuba, and even when it is the smallest of all the provinces, it's over 2,000,000 inhabitants make it Cuba's most populated one. Throughout its 15 districts, particularly in Playa, Plaza de la Revolucion, Centro Habana, Habana del Este, and Old Havana (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982), travelers will find numerous places of architectural, cultural and tourist interest. Visiting Havana is something you can do all year long. Warm weather most of the year, with temperatures that range from 68 to 85°F, is the perfect incentive to explore the city. After a hearty breakfast, head on over to the Museum of Bellas Artes! View historic Cuban art not found anywhere else in the world. The visually stunning Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes(National Museum of Fine Arts), provides meaningful context to Cuba and its people. Next, visit the El Gran Teatro Nacional. This architectural beauty offers some of the best Cuban music, theater, and classical dance. Take some time to appreciate a visit to this famous Opera House. Enjoy lunch in El del Frente. An inspiring and bright design-centric atmosphere with handcrafted cocktails and excellent modern cuisine.

Viñales Countryside Excursion

This morning at around 9 AM, you will travel to Vinales. Located just three hours from Havana, it is a beautifully quaint Cuban town nestled among soaring limestone cliffs and tobacco farms. These limestone mogotes, combined with Viñales’ vibrantly colored Casas in shades of orange, green, pink, yellow, blue, red, have earned the Valley of Viñales a World Heritage designation.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at Laguna de Piedra with some traditional Cuban food in a quaint local restaurant overlooking a beautiful lake in the Viñales countryside. Afterward, explore tobacco countrylike, a Cuban farmer on oxcart! Stop at a working tobacco farm run by a lovely multi-generational family. Learn the unique technique and secret family recipe for rolling cigars with a twist. You can buy your very own authentic Cuban puros, the perfect souvenir or gift for a friend at home. Continue into the lush Viñales Valley to a unique viewing point, one of the most tranquil places on the planet.

Return to Havana, where you will have time to freshen up at your hotel before having a wonderful dinner in Atelier. Day 4: Havana

Cars, Cuisine, History & Salsa!

After a relaxing breakfast, hop into a vintage classic American convertible car and cruise through Havana's neighborhoods.

Afterward, enjoy a Cojímar cooking and mojito-making class & lunch. This is a fantastic culturally immersive activity at El Ajiaco, a restaurant named after a traditional Cuban soup. Channel Hemingway's spirit at lunch in the small fishing village of Cojímar, the inspiration for one of Hemingway's most famous works: the Old Man and the Sea.

Next, visit the Hemingway House! Famed novelist Ernest Hemingway lived at this sprawling mansion from 1940 -1960. The home's interior has been virtually untouched since the day that "Papa," the U.S.-ambassador-in-spirit left.

Embrace the evening by taking a salsa lesson and learning from the best! Meet the resident dance instructor Elio, aka Cosita Rara. He is also maybe one of the most talented dancers in all of Cuba. No trip to Cuba is complete without dancing some salsa. Return to the hotel to freshen up before going to dinner in Rio Mar, a chic restaurant on the water with beautiful views. Their specialty is seafood, with meat options available.

Day 5: Havana Departure

Although your adventure must come to an end today, you will be leaving with new friends, amazing experiences and memories to cherish for the rest of your life.
