Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Jambiani
Arrive into Zanzibar and meet to transfer to the eastern beaches at Jambiani. Upon registration, be shown to your room which is full of all you need for Zanzibar – clean and comfortable rooms, private facilities, ceiling fans and a small terrace. There is communal dining area and the lodge has a spectacular view of the turquoise ocean, lined by coconut palms.

Day 2 - Jambiani
Relax and rejuvenation – be as active or as rested as you prefer!

Day 3 - Jambiani
At the hotel, you can organize optional extras like swimming with the dolphins, dhow sunset cruises, Jozani forest visits, massage or henna painting. The calm waters and wide beach make a great opportunity for a refreshing swim and exploration of the local area.

Day 4 - Jambiani - Stone Town
After a delicious breakfast, transfer to Stone Town. We are thrown into days gone by as we visit a Spice Plantation enroute – learning how spices are grown and used throughout the world. You will receive a palm-woven basket to collect a pocket full of dynamite for the senses. We arrive into Stone Town to check in and then have the afternoon for our own exploration. Stone Town is a maze of ancient alleyways and aromas from yesteryear. There are many points of interest around Stone Town including the House of Wonders, Persian baths and Slave Holding areas. There are also vast choices to explore for lunch and dinner, and your hotel will help with your decisions and directions.

Day 5 - Stone Town
A day for your own exploration and shopping. Get lost in the alleyways, enter the shopping areas to bargain for a treasure and become fascinated by the Arab influenced architecture.

Transfer to Zanzibar departure point for your travel beyond.

Pearl of Zanzibar is a simple, well located guesthouse in Stone Town, a 5 minute walk from the beachfront. It is typical Zanzibari style with rooms spread over three floors and varying levels.

The walks within the tribal areas are carried out by our own guides in conjunction with the local, tribal guide – this allows easy translation and interpretation. Many of the areas have an array of plant & bird life so binoculars often assist in exact identification.
