Global Basecamps arranged our trip to South Africa during the World Cup and did a fabulous job. Our travel agent arranged all the hotels (in many cases at prices that were lower than what he had originially estimated them at), car rentals and many of the tours that we took. He patiently worked through all the details with us, went back and forth many times on specific pieces, and best of all followed up with us a couple of weeks before the trip to see if we needed anything else and actually ended up taking care of some last minute arrangements for us. Ant’s Nest is a very special bush home situated on a private game reserve in the magnificent, malaria free Waterberg (3 hours north west of Johannesburg and a couple of hours south of the Limpopo River). Lying in a natural amphitheatre, the original homestead, with its wide verandas, has a classic African atmosphere. The luxurious en-suite rooms accommodate a maximum of only twelve guests.
Ant’s Nest is predominantly booked on an exclusive basis i.e. to one group of guests at a time, although during certain seasons it is booked out to different couples.
There is a 15 metre pool in the garden, ideal for those needing some exercise or great for kids. It is heated all year round. Extensive lawns and beds of indigenous plants surround the pool and home and there is a wonderful, thatched covered chill out spot with sofa beds to relax on during the heat of the day. A wide variety of game frequents the waterhole in front of the house where horses and dogs abound.

Cancellation Policies
Cancellation 90 days prior to arrival: 50% of total invoice cost will be due.
Cancellation 30 days prior to arrival: 100% of total invoice cost will be due.
