This luxury eco lodge brings you the best of the bush and the beach, located facing the prisitne Memba Bay on the Baixo do Pinda Peninsula.
Nuarro is comprised of 12 luxury beachfront chalets (of which 10 have a family option with an upstairs area for twin beds). Each chalet has 100 m² of constructed area and was built utilizing traditional technology, which allows for perfect ventilation. A large mosquito net covers a centralized super king size bed adorned with crispy white high quality linen. Large doors and windows open up to magnificent bay views to the North and bush views and Baobab forest to the south. Lush dune vegetation creates a very private sanctuary. Morning coffee is served on the balcony on request before breakfast.
The view over the bay from the luxury and spacious beach front chalets is truly amazing. The chalets were designed by a local French architect who developed traditional chalets in a sophisticated space. You can enjoy the privacy of your African house while you sit on the spacious veranda. Relax on the sun loungers or gaze at the blue sky as you gently swing in your hammock. The indoor and outdoor showers mean you will always feel refreshed and ready for the next adventure.
A panoramic high-class Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is located on the west end of the beach with view to “Nanatha Island Rock” and the bay beyond. Fresh seafood and salads will form creative menu, which incorporates traditional and international cuisine.
To relax the day away, chill out after an activity or simply watch the whales pass by (seasonal). The Beach Bar is a great informal spot where light snacks can be enjoyed throughout the day and more lively parties in the evening time.
Beyond diving, the Marine Activity Centre offers an extensive array of guest activities which include:
Energy supply for the whole lodge is based on a hybrid system of solar panels, wind turbine and batteries, with a back-up generator to recharge the batteries whenever necessary or to supply emergency power. This method ensures around the clock electrical supply as well as optimal clean energy usage. Dry sanitation systems are used throughout the lodge to optimize water consumption. And the hot water system is generated by solar panels.
