From the arid Sahara Desert to the beach resorts along the western coast, Morocco is a slide show of constantly shifting panoramas, landscapes and cityscapes. This country has played host to foreign conquerors and rulers from ancient Roman to modern French origins, and has emerged as a traditional Muslim center of culture and commerce unlike anywhere else.
Day 1 - Casablanca Arrival
Welcome to Morocco! You will be picked up from the airport and taken directly to the hotel. If you arrive early enough, you could see some of the sights in the city. The most significant monument is the Hassan II Mosque, which does have opening hours for visitors.

Day 2 - Casablanca - Meknes - Volubilis - Fez
Today, you will be taken to Fez, one of Morocco's impressive Imperial Cities. Along the way you can stop in Meknes, one of Morocco's lesser-visited Imperial Cities. Located here is one of Morocco's most impressive gateways, Bab Mansour. Thirty minutes away from Meknes are the Roman Ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss, which sits perched overlooking the ruins. You'll arrive to Fez in the later afternoon.

Day 3 - Fez Private Tour
In Fez, you will be able to explore the UNESCO protected Fez Medina with a private guide. Since this can be confusing due to well over 9,000 streets and alleyways, your guide will take you to the most special parts, including the Fondouk Nejjarine, the tanneries and the various craft souks. The tour lasts from 9:30 until 5:30. Lunch is included today on the tour.

Day 4 - Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Efroud
You will depart around 9am and head for Ifrane, the "Switzerland of Morocco." You will continue onward through Azrou, Midelt and onto Erfoud for the night. There will be an optional walk if you wish to break up the drive. After a relaxing night in the hotel, you'll be fully rested for the next day's full adventure.

Day 5 - Efroud - Ziz Valley - Sahara Desert
In the morning, our coordinator for the region named Tata will take you to visit his small village in the Ziz (Tafilalet) Valley, Morocco's largest date-producing region. Before or after lunch at his family's home, he can take you on a short walk through the date palms and farms. Following, it's off to Merzouga, the Erg Chebbi region of the Sahara Desert. Before venturing on a short camel ride into the desert, you can pack an overnight back and leave any luggage in storage at the hotel that oversees our camping site. Following, you'll choose your camel and head into the dunes for a memorable night under the stars. You'll be sleeping in a Bedouin-style tent. Our private tent area has actual beds/blankets/sheets, carpets aligning the ground, and a western-style bathroom facilities. If you would rather not go into the desert, we can always arrange a room for you at the Kasbah-style hotel. A camel ride at sunset or sunrise can always be arranged separately.

Day 6 - Sahara Desert - Tinjedad - Dades Valley - Skoura
This morning, you'll be able to rise with the sunset to grab some photos before hopping back onto the camels for the short ride back to the hotel. Once there, you can enjoy a shower and breakfast before heading on the road again. You'll have plenty of opportunities to stop along the way for photos. You'll head to Tinjedad, which is home to an ancient ksar and Berber museum. You can enjoy lunch here before continuing onward to the Dades Valley. Here, you can enjoy a one to two hour walk to enjoy the areas amazing rock formations before going to Skoura, known as the Valley of Kasbahs, for the evening where dinner will be served.

Day 7 - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakesh
After leaving Dades Valley this morning, you can visit Ouarzazate. This relatively new city is home to the Taorirt Kasbah once owned by the Glaouis family, who ruled Morocco. You will also be stopping at the UNESCO world heritage site at Ait Ben Haddou. Later in your journey, you will visit the Telouet Kasbah, located along the former caravan route from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains sitting at an elevation of 5,900 ft. Then, you'll head over the Tiz n Tichka pass, which goes over the High Atlas Mountains and to Marrakesh.

Day 8 - Marrakesh Private Tour
In Marrakesh, today will be devoted to a private guided visit of the Marrakesh Medina. You can explore the Saadian tombs, Bahia Palace, Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School, and walk through the various souks. Lunch is included on the tour today.

Day 9 - Marrakesh - Casablanca
Today, you can do any last minute shopping or sightseeing before heading to Casablanca at your convenience.
