Our Morocco Eclectic Itinerary is one the most popular Morocco holidays currently available. This route can also be done in the opposite direction, which is a good idea if you are starting and ending your trip in Marrakesh. All the details are available on our Eclectic Morocco in Reverse itinerary. This particular trip covers the highlights of the entire country including the Imperial Cities (Rabat, Meknes, Fez, and Marrakesh), along with the Sahara Desert. The itinerary outlined here is a 10-day trip that can be booked immediately for any dates you may wish. We can also tailor this itinerary to your needs. It is recommended to have 7 to 12 days to complete a route such as this one.
Day 1 - Casablanca Arrival
Upon arriving into the Casablanca Airport (CMN), you'll be picked up and taken to your hotel for the evening. If you arrive into Casablanca early in the day, it can be a good idea to head to the capital city of Rabat. Another option is to simply combine today and tomorrow so that you continue onward to Fez.

Day 2 - Casablanca - Fez
Today, you'll travel through Rabat and onward to Meknes, one of Morocco's lesser-visited Imperial Cities. Located here is one of Morocco's most impressive gateways, Bab Mansour. In Meknes, you can opt for a cooking workshop or a private guided visit if you'd like. Thirty minutes away from Meknes are the Roman Ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss, which sits perched overlooking the ruins. You'll arrive in Fez in the late afternoon.

Day 3 - Fez
In Fez, you will be able to explore the UNESCO protected Fez Medina with a private guide.

Day 4 - Fez - Erfoud
You will depart around 9am and head for Ifrane before continuing onward through Midelt and onto Erfoud for the night. After a relaxing night in the hotel, you'll be fully rested for the next day's Sahara adventure.

Day 5 - Ziz Valley - Sahara Desert
In the morning, our guide will take you to visit his small village in the Ziz (Tafilalet) Valley, Morocco's largest date-producing region. Before lunch at his family's home, you can enjoy a short walk through the date palms and farms. Following, it's off to Merzouga, the Erg Chebbi region of the Sahara Desert. Prepare for a memorable night under the stars and sleeping in a Bedouin-style tent.

Day 6 - Rissani - Dades Valley
This morning, you'll be able to rise with the sunset to grab some photos before hopping back onto the camels for the short ride back to the hotel. You'll then head through Rissani, before continuing on the road to Tinjedad for lunch. En route to Skoura, you can choose to drive up into either the Todra Gorge or Dades Valley. Tonight, you'll be staying in the Skoura palm grove, known as the Valley of Kasbahs. If you would rather not go to Skoura, a stay in the Dades Valley is always a sublime option.

Day 7 - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakesh
After leaving Skoura, you can visit Ouarzazate and the Taorirt Kasbah once owned by the Glaouis family. You will also be stopping at the UNESCO world heritage site at Ait Ben Haddou. Then, you'll head over the Tiz n Tichka pass, which goes over the High Atlas Mountains and to Marrakesh.

Day 8 - Marrakesh
In Marrakesh, today will be devoted to a private guided visit (with lunch) of the Marrakesh Medina.

Day 9 - Marrakesh - Casablanca
Depending upon your flight time tomorrow, you can stay in Marrakesh or travel to Casablanca this afternoon.
