Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Bogota

Take a breath after arriving and spend some time in the massive and cosmopolitan capital of Colombia. Spend your first night in Colombia recovering from your long flight and taking some time to adjust to the altitude (2600 meters high).

Day 2 - Bogota

Soak up the cultural scene in the colonial old quarter, take part in a walking or bike tour around the city, visit museums and galleries.

Day 3 - Zipaquira Cathedral

Today you will take a short care ride to visit the most popular tourist landmark in Colombia. The bizarre and massive salt cathedral of Zipaquira is a Roman Catholic Church that was constructed in an underground salt mine. Experience the incredible architectural details first hand and learn the history of this famous sacred place.

Day 4 - Bogota - Villa de Leyva

In the morning you will take a private car ride to the pretty colonial town of Villa de Leyva. Upon arrival you will take a horse rie through the cobble stone streets of this quaint colonial town and it's lovely surrounding areas.

Day 5 - Villa de Leyva

Today is your to explore Villa de Leyva at your leisure. There are lots of nice restaurants, arts and craft galleries and inviting bars – a great place to wander around and soak up the atmosphere.

Day 6 - Villa de Leyva - Nuqui Town

In the morning you will make your way to the airport for your departure flight to Nuqui Town, located on Colombia's pacific coast. Here you will discover the natural extravaganza of this isolated destination.

Day 7 - Nuqui Town

During your time in Nuqui, take the time to enjoy the lively local culture of the afro-colombian communities, walk through the jungle and discover fascinating natural spots.

Day 8 - Nuqui Town

For your last full day in the Colombian coastal paradise you will have the opportunity to go whale watching!
