Buenos Aires

The cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and its largest city. Known as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires is steeped in culture unique to this beautiful country. Enjoy tango dancers in the streets of La Boca or head to the charming neighborhoods of Recoleta and Palermo to enjoy delicious empanadas. Buenos Aires is a great base from which to explore the surrounding areas as well. Río de la Plata is a short distance away and is a great place to go to relax on its shores.

Half Day City Tour

Your exploration will afford you the opportunity to admire all of the main points of interest, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, Government House, Mayo Square, Congress Hall, Colon Opera Theatre, San Telmo, La Boca Italian District and Palermo Park. Bariloche

San Carlos de Bariloche, the gateway to Patagonia Argentina, is on the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi. You will enjoy the natural beauty of its surrounding areas all year round. The town itself has a charming Swiss Alps feel to it and you can enjoy countless outdoor activities ranging from mountain biking and kayaking to snow boarding and hiking.

Day 4: Bariloche

Private Guided Tour

Near your hotel, the most traditional route of Bariloche bordering the southern shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi starts. Head to a unique viewpoint, known as Panoramic Point, and outstanding attractions like the Llao Llao Hotel and San Eduardo Chapel, near Puerto Pañuelo. 17km from the center of the city is the Cerro Campanario (Optional – not included in the price). From the view point you can enjoy the incredible panoramic views of the area. The Historic Hotel Llao Llao is just on the road, with a natural environment that attracts all types of visitors. During this ride there would be lots of tea houses and craft breweries, plus spaces where textiles, ceramics, leather and all kinds of crafts are sold. Also, the soft trails Llao Llao Municipal Park offers the possibility of quiet walks in the woods.

El Calafate

The small town of El Calafate is located on the southern border of Lake Argentino, in Patagonia, Argentina. This quiet little town is the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, home to the famous Perito Moreno Glacier and the Cerro Torre. The Perito Moreno Glacier is the largest advancing glacier in the world. With its ideal location in Patagonia, there are many great outdoor activities to enjoy, from hiking and trekking to exploring the fast ice fields.

Day 7: El Calafate

Perito Moreno & Safari Nautico

This morning, you'll be met by your guide to depart El Calafate, heading towards Perito Moreno Glacier. It is an 80 km long journey, with time for plenty of stops along the way to take pictures. For the duration of the tour, a guide from “Los Glaciares” National Park will be with you, informing you about the surrounding area, the history and mysticism of this unique glacier. After entering the Andean Patagonian forest area, you will stop at “Curva de los Suspiros” (Sighs Curve), to enjoy the first panoramic view of the Perito Moreno Glacier. While trying to take it all in, continue your way to the platforms and balconies in front of the glacier, with free time to visit them on your own.

You will then board the Safari Nautico for a 30 to 40 minute boat ride. This will award you with an alternative view of the glacier (departing from “Bajo de las Sombras”). Marvel at the different perspective of the stunning walls of the glacier and the permanent detachments of blocks of ice. The blocks will later become icebergs, and as others float by very close to the boat, they provide a tinge in the reflection of the channels and lakes, to give it that peculiar blue they have always had. The craft, which offers room for up to 70 people, takes a prudential position, close enough to the wall, as to be able to cover its whole extension.

Today's excursion will last about 10 hours, for a long, but very worth while experience. You will be dropped back off at your hotel by the end of the tour. (This service is on a group basis.)

Day 8: El Calafate

Full Day 4X4 Upsala & Estancia Cristina Tour

Today you will head to Estancia Christina. As you advance, be surprised with great views of the stunning 9km-wide Upsala Glacier, the largest in the area.

This morning you’ll be met at your hotel by your guide and transferred to Punta Bandera, approximately 49kms from town. Here at 8:15am you’ll embark aboard our modern and comfortable boat to sail among icebergs and stunning scenery overlooking the western front of the Upsala Glacier as you navigate along the northern channel of Argentino Lake. Once you reach Estancia Cristina´s (Cristina Ranch) pier at 11:30am you’ll disembark.

You’ll take a 4WD through the lands of the estancia seeing flora and fauna of Los Glaciares National Park as you visit Upsala Glacier, Lake Guillermo and Southern Patagonian Ice and Andes spending 3 hours in exploration in the 4WD and 30 minutes walking.

After lunch (not included but BBQ options will be available at the ranch) enjoy a historic walk visiting the Chapel and Costumbrista Museum (sheep shearing shed) before heading back to the port and taking a bus back to El Calafate at 5:30pm arriving around 7-8pm. Day 9: El Calafate - Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls

The waterfalls of Iguazu are located in northern Argentina, near the border of Paraguay and Brazil. They are made up of 275 falls, some up to 80 meters high. The 1,000 meter foot bridge on the Argentinian side will lead you to the largest of the falls, La Garganta de Diablo, the Devil's Throat. You can hike the trails on the Argentinean side as well as the Brazilian side. Both sides offer exceptional views of the majestic waterfalls.

Day 10: Iguazu Falls

Argentina Side Full Day Tour

After breakfast at your hotel this morning, you will embark on a full day private tour of the Argentinean side of the waterfalls. Enjoy the 275 cascades, as viewed from various access points. The footbridges and the navigation tours will take you closer to the waterfalls to enjoy an unforgettable experience.

The tour starts at the Visitors Center and then goes through the Argentinean waterfalls, including the lower circuit, which approaches the Jungle; while the 1,000-meter footbridge will lead to the impressive Garganta del Diablo.

Optional: Tickets for the Gran Aventura. The Gran Aventura tour begins with a 5 mile safari ride along the Yacoratia Path. During the ride, you'll view the jungle's extensive flora and might even catch a glimpse of some of the region's indigenous wildlife. You will then disembark at Puerto Macuco, where you'll hop in an inflatable boat with your tour group and navigate 4 miles along the lower Iguazú River, braving 1 mile of rapids, as you approach the falls in Devil's Throat Canyon.
