Kawaza Village is home to villagers of the Kunda tribe and is located adjacent to world-famous wildlife safari destination, South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. Kawaza offers travellers the opportunity to visit a genuine Zambian rural village and to get involved with local people and village life.

It is possible to stay in the village overnight or for a few days – or to visit us just for the day – to get to know the Kunda people and experience a part of our lives. A visit to Kawaza Village will be an uplifting experience that will find a place in your heart and stay with you forever.

General Information

A day visit to Kawaza costs $20 per person. This includes all activities and a traditional lunch. Excludes travel costs to Kawaza.

An overnight stay at Kawaza costs $70 per person per night. This includes accommodation, meals and all activities. Excludes travel costs to Kawaza.

The village is able to receive visitors from April through to the end of November. At other times (the rainy season), the village is difficult to access as the journey entails crossing two sandy rivers.
