I went in to this with the attitude of ok, I'd like to go around the world but I have no idea what to do or where to start. Global Basecamps stepped in and created a trip I will never forget. Every excursion that was arranged for this trip was so different because the plans and excursions took place in so many different countries. The three days I spent at the FCC Angkor Hotel in Cambodia were perhaps one of the most relaxing on this entire trip. I never ever worried nearly as much as I would have if I had done this trip on my own. It was and is an incredible relief to have great people looking out for you when you're in a foreign country and Global Basecamps hooked up with some truly exceptional agencies and people.

Tangala House is a luxurious family home on the banks of the Zambezi River, 15km upstream of Victoria Falls. The house has four bedrooms, three with ensuite bathrooms, and a 12m private swimming pool. Stylishly designed and furnished, it has been featured in House and Garden magazine in the UK and comes with its own staff.
Ideal for a Zambia family safari, Tangala House sleeps up to 8 and has a children’s playroom and a spacious kitchen-dining room. With glass throughout, designed to keep out insects, guests enjoy magnificent views across the Zambezi and can view elephant herds drinking on the opposite bank.There is fantastic bird life, with over 145 species on record, spotted from the kitchen window. The living room has a large sofa and two armchairs, satellite TV, video, stereo and fireplace. Most of the rooms have very high ceilings and the hallways have large 3-4m high 'Moroccan’ arches, with 1-meter thick walls.
Pool
The swimming pool is 11m x 5m, with an extra shallow area for children and bench seating. In front of the house is a grass lawn, which drops 20 meters to wild riverine grassland and to the Zambezi River. The house has a 250-meter stretch of private river frontage, with no properties on either side.

Availability for Tangala is Christmas and Easter Holidays, June, July and August. Other dates available throughout the year on request only. Minimum stay of 3 nights for Safari holidays (Minimum of four people).
- All prices are quoted and payable in United States Dollars
- Tangala House will hold provisional bookings for 15 days ONLY
- Provisional bookings for guests arriving within 6 months from the booking date will only be held for 7 days.
- Bookings for arrivals due within 3 months should be confirmed within 48 hours
- Bookings must be confirmed with transfer details.
- Children under 14 pay 50% unless they are in their own room, then they will pay adult fees.

- 60 days or more before arrival, 25% fee
- between 30 and 60 days before arrival, 50% fee
- 30 days or less before arrival, 50% fee... and if the guest decides to rebook in next 12 months (must be made in the original booking season) the reservation we will be booked at 50% off
