Global Basecamps arranged our trip to South Africa during the World Cup and did a fabulous job. Our travel agent arranged all the hotels (in many cases at prices that were lower than what he had originially estimated them at), car rentals and many of the tours that we took. He patiently worked through all the details with us, went back and forth many times on specific pieces, and best of all followed up with us a couple of weeks before the trip to see if we needed anything else and actually ended up taking care of some last minute arrangements for us. Named after the spectacular Minaret Mountains, the lodge is just a short stroll to the lake and a 10 minute walk from the Wanaka town centre. With a backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery set in landscaped grounds with its well established oak, silver birch and larch trees, this luxury retreat is a haven of tranquillity.
The lodge features a mud brick construction with plastered finish. It incorporates local schist stone reflecting the traditional style of the Central Otago region. The décor reflects a casual elegance with a feel of refinement.
The guest room chalets, constructed using local timbers and non toxic materials is tastefully furnished and located in a setting of tranquil ambience. Each room has fine furniture, local art, private ensuite bathromms and verandahs.
Lodge facilities include spa, sauna, tennis, petanque, mountain bikes, a game room, ski storage and drying room. A fine gourmet breakfast and aperitifs featuring Central Otago wines are also offered.

In order to confirm a reservation we require your credit card details with expiration date.
Your reservation is guaranteed once we have received details of your credit card, with expiration date and your receipt of our confirmation verification. The balance is due on check-out together with any other sundries.
Our property is non-smoking. If you would like to smoke, we ask that you do so outside.
Rates include accommodation, local taxes (GST of 12.5%), full breakfast, canapes featuring Central Otago wines, and use of facilities and services as listed in the Lodge Facilities and Guest Services. Three-course dinner featuring local cuisine and including wine is available fpr an additional charge.
Children over the age of 10 are allowed in the lodge at the adult rates.

Cancellation Policies
Cancellation Policy:
Because of our intimate size , cancellations affect us significantly.
When confirmed reservations are cancelled within the following time periods,
cancellation charges will apply:
* 30-8 days prior to arrival -30% of tariff,
* 7-0 days prior to arrival or no shows - 100% of tariff.
We will make every attempt to resell the room and if successful, a full refund of
cancellation fees will be made.
