This was my third time using the incredible services and unique properties of Global Basecamps. For my most recent trip to South Africa, I wanted a unique Kruger safari experience, but didn't have the budget for the higher-end Kruger safaris. Our travel specialist booked us a walking safari that was so incredibly priced we were able to afford an additional excursion to one of South Africa's smaller game parks. The walking safari was top notch and the accommodations were awesome. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and passionate about the wildlife. Viewing game on foot without twenty other vehicles with tons of gawking tourists and cameras going off is such a special treat. Thank you Global Basecamps for another incredible experience!

Every guest room at Grasmere Lodge has a king bed or two single beds, two armchairs and a coffee table, CD player, minibar, a work desk with a modem plug and chair. A selection of teas, freshly ground coffee, home-baked cookies and sherry is also provided in each room.
At Grasmere Lodge, only the best of New Zealand produce is used, seasonal and preferably locally grown. The chefs check what fruit and vegetables are available in the markets and order accordingly, rather than bringing in exotic ingredients to try to impress. The tariff includes a five-course gourmet dinner and the daily menu is set by the chef.
High in the Southern Alps, where gin-clear streams and lakes challenge fly-fisherman, and wild boar and deer roam the forest floor, you'll find historic Grasmere Lodge.
