The Overland Himalayan Excursion begins with a few relaxing days to explore Kathmandu prior to your mountain exploration. To begin your excursion, witness many important monasteries as well as Everest Basecamp on your way to Lhasa. On arrival in Lhasa take in the many important Tibetan sights while immersing yourself in the fascinating culture before your departure by train to Beijing. On arrival in Beijing spend the next two day exploring the important relics of this ancient city.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive In Kathmandu
On arrival in Kathmandu you will be transferred to you hotel. You will have the remainder of the day to ecplore the city at your leisure.

Day 2 - Kathmandu
Today will be used to explore the Boudha Nath Stupa, Patan City, Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Following your day of exploration spend the evening at your leisure.

Day 3 - Kathmandu at your own leisure
Following breakfast use to day to see the sights of Durbar Square. Have the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 4 - Kathmandu
Following breakfast spend the day at your leisure exploring Kathmandu and surrounding regions.

Day 5 - Kathmandu - Zhangmu
This morning you will begin your overland Himalayan excursion. Our guide and driver will escort you from Kathmandu to Zhangmu.
Overnight: Dingri Zhufeng Hotel (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Day 6 - Zhangmu - Dingri
Today you will depart Zhangmu and your guide and driver will escort you to Dingri.
Overnight: Dingri Zhufeng Hotel (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Day 7 - Dingri - Everest - Rongbuk Mongastery
Today you will have the chance to experience the high Himalays. Our guide and driver will escort you from Dingri to Everest basecamps, which will then escort you from Everest to Rongbuk Mongastery for your overnight.
Overnight: Rongbuk Monastery Guesthouse (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Day 8 - Rongbuk Mongastery - Saga
This morning leave Rongbuk Mongastery and head for Saga, where you will spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Overnight: Saga Hostel (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Day 9 - Saga - Shigatse
After breakfast your guide and driver will escort you from Saga to Shigatse, Tashilunpo Monastery, where you wil lhave the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Overnight: Shigatse Hotel (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Day 10- Shigatse - Lhasa
Today your guide and driver will escort you from Shigatse to Lhasa, with stops at Yomdrok Lake and The Palgor Chorten.
Overnight: Xinding Hotel (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Day 11 - Lhasa
Spend the day exploring Lhasa, which includes stops as Barkhor Street, Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace, and Lhasa Kitchen for lunch.
Overnight: Xinding Hotel (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Day 12 - Lhasa - Monasteries
Take the day to explore many of the famed monastery's of Tibet, with stops at Sera Monastery, Norbulingka, Drepung Monastery, and the Original Crazy Yak Restaurant for lunch.

Day 13 - Lhasa - Beijing, Train No. T28
Today you will transfer to the train station to depart Lhasa and begin the journey to Beijing. You will have a soft sleeper berth for your excursion.

Day 14 - Overnight Train
Today you will continue of your train excursion. Feel free to spend the day at your leisure while onboard.

Day 15 - Overnight Train - Beijing
Today your train will arrive in Beijing. Transfer from the train station to Hotel (Beijing), Also while in Beijing experience The Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car), Shahe Cloisonne Factory , Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant(Lunch).

Day 16 - Beijing
Today explore The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, Lizexiang Pearl Store , and enjoy lunch at the Traditional Mongolia Restaurant.

Day 17 - Depart Beijing
Following breakfast relax until you transfer to the Beijing International Airport for your departing international flight.
