Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Marrakesh (or Casablanca)

We’ll pick you up at Marrakesh airport and deliver you to your riad, a delightful hotel in the historic medina. You have the day to unwind and relax. A great place to begin exploring is Jmaa el Fna, the center of Marrakesh life.

Day 2 - Marrakesh Guided Visit

Today you have a private guided tour of Marrakesh. The tour lasts from 9:30am until 5:30pm Medina (including lunch). And with the knowledge you gained from reading our Marrakesh travel guide, you will be able to discuss with him the sights you would like to see most. It is worth allowing your guide an element of free rein to bring out the best of the Red City and give you a bundle of memories to carry home with you.

Day 3 - Telouet - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Skoura

After leaving Dades Valley this morning, you can visit Ouarzazate. This relatively new city is home to the Taorirt Kasbah once owned by the Glaouis family, who ruled Morocco. You will also be stopping at the UNESCO world heritage site at Ait Ben Haddou. Later in your journey, you will visit the Telouet Kasbah, located along the former caravan route from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains sitting at an elevation of 5,900 ft.

Day 4 - Dra Valley - Zagora - M'hamid - Erg Chigaga

Today you will leave Skoura on a trip into the heart of the Sahara Desert. On your way, you will stop in the village of M'hamid where you can get a taste of Moroccan culture by enjoying lunch with a local family. After a the refreshing stop, you will continue on to one of the most remote and exciting regions of the Sahara - Erg Chigaga.

Day 5 - Erg Chigaga

Today you will continue to explore the wild Erg Chigaga region on foot as well as via 4x4. Trekking among the impressive 900 ft high dunes and absorbing the silence of the desert is a memorable experience. You may also be able to meet some of the nomadic families of the Ait Atta Berber tribe who live here and learn about their lives in the desert.

Day 6 - Lac Iriki - Foum Zguid - Taroudant

Today enjoy breakfast and then head up to Taroudant, through this impressive and scenic region of Morocco. The drive is long today, but the scenery is stupendous. The hundred-year-old walls of "Little Marrakesh" and exceptional views of the Atlas mountains make Taroudant an exceptional place to stay.

Day 7 - Tiznit - Aglou - Mirleft

Heading southwest, you will soon reach the beach town of Mirleft. The town has long been a popular beach destination for French travelers thanks to it's persistantly sunny weather which, paired with long sandy beaches and great surf makes the town a hidden gem. Traveling to Essaouira is also an option for those who do not wish to visit Mirleft.

Day 8 - Sidi Ifni - Mirleft

Please enjoy this free day at your leisure in Mirleft. Some of the most popular activities include taking a surf lesson or fishing on the beach. It is best to arrange activities beforehand. For those that wish to explore the city, an oasis and ruined fort are located nearby and some interesting Spanish Art-deco architecture can be found in Sidi Ifni. If you are visiting on a Saturday morning, there is a camel market in Guelmim.

Day 9 - Agadir - Marrakesh

A relaxed drive along the Atlantic coast will take you past the largest resort town in Morocco, Agadir. The town was completely rebuilt following a devastating earthquake in 1960. If you wish, you can stop here at an eco-lodge and enjoy a mountain bike ride and lunch. Then, you will continue on to Marrakesh to enjoy a final night before departing.

Day 10 - Marrakesh Departure (or Casablanca)

You will be departing Morocco from Marrakesh today. We hope you have had a wonderful journey!

Situated overlooking the Imin Tourga, one of the most beautiful beaches in Morcco, Sally's has one of the best views in Mirleft. To the west and north is the Atlantic Ocean. The house has different terraces each more impressive than the last.

The bedrooms are very comfortable with all amenities. Every morning breakfast is served on a different terrace either in the shade or sun, intimate or sharing.
