Anjajavy

On a remote and enchanted peninsula on the northwest coast of Madagascar, Anjajavy awaits your discovery. Set along a sandy beach beside azure waters and encircled by a fabulous forest reserve, Anjajavy reflects the rich diversity and untouched beauty of Madagascar and the natural, warm hospitality of its people.

Anjajavy is comprised of 25 rosewood villas, all of which face the sea. Each villa features a large terrace, a living room area and breakfast area and a bedroom. A small staircase provides access to the first floor which features a relaxation room that can be used as an office or children's/guest room. The bathroom boasts a vast bath with separate lavatories. And each villa can be maintained at your ideal temperature by a personal air-conditioning system.

A la carte meals are served in the restaurant overlooking the ocean, or on the terrace. Drinks may be ordered from the bar, on the terrace or at the pool. The French cuisine is influenced by the flavors of Madagascar, featuring local fish and seafood.

A 200 sq. meter infinity-edge pool overlooks the sea, however The Oasis is the real jewel of Anjajavy. The Oasis, designed by Camille Muller, is a genuine Garden of Eden, a place where you will find a vast variety of aquatic plants, papyrus reeds, tree ferns, climbing plants, palm trees that are home to humming birds, lemurs, malachite kingfishers, Malagasy foudis and even the rrongo.

Complimentary activities include water-skiing, catamarans, wind-surfing, canoeing, billiards, nature and bird walks, aqua-gym, cave and village visits. Excursions to Moromba Bay, sunset cruises, big game, popper and fly-fishing are available for an additional cost.

Anjajavy is set on a sandy beach on the Mozambique Channel. The hotel is encircled by the 450 hectare Anjajavy Reserve, an outstanding example of Madagascar's endangered dry forest habitat. There is no road to Anjajavy. The hotel is served by the private airline, Air Hotel, which links Anjajavy with Antananarivo and Nosy Be. Private charter planes may also use the hotel's private runway upon request.
