A classical African safari that takes you closer to the “Big Five”. If you are looking for an enriching wildlife viewing experience, then Amboseli and Tsavo are the places to visit. Amboseli swamp and Mzima Springs, the two oases inside Amboseli and Tsavo West National Parks, provide a natural attraction to large and varied wildlife populations in this largely dry bush country.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Nairobi - Amboseli

From Nairobi, drive south for 3-4 hours to Amboseli National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch and afternoon game drive. Amboseli is best known for its unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro and the local elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in the parks eco-system, featuring some of the largest in Africa. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Amboseli

Today you will set off for a full day of game drives in the park. With its backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa's highest mountain) and the abundant wildlife, Amboseli is a real spectacle. This is where you can see large herds of elephants and plains game, giraffes, gazelles, lions, leopards etc roaming the plains. Overnight at the camp.

Day 3 - Amboseli - Tsavo West

Morning game drive as we exit the park. Then exit the park and drive across the great lava flow of Mt Kilimanjaro and the chyulu Hills to Tsavo West National Park. Lunch then afternoon game drive and camp overnight.

Overnight: Chyulu Campsite (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

Day 4 - Tsavo West

Whole day of game drives at Tsavo West. Tsavo is Kenya’s largest park and is famous for its large herds of elephants. Visit Mzima Springs where from an underwater observation tank it is possible to see submerged hippo, crocodiles and fish on the floor of the springs. Overnight at the camp.

Day 5 - Tsavo West - Nairobi

Sadly today marks the end of your Kenya safari. After breakfast you'll transfer to Nairobi for your international departure.

Accommodation Information

Kimana Campsite

Kimana Camp is a small tented camp, situated on the banks of Sekenani River 2kms from Sekenani Gate within the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Kimana is within a small, cool and serene environment surrounded by woodland, it is one of Masai Mara’s best kept secret.

Chyulu Campsite

The Chyulu Campsite is located in the Tsavo West National Park which is located on south eastern Kenya, 240km from Nairobi along the western side of Mombasa-Nairobi highway. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges. The Campsite is located 1km from the Chyulu Gate.
