Mt. Kenya: Naro Moru Chogoria Traverse

Nairobi, Kenya

We customize every trip

Prices From: $1,378 per person

This is the great west to east trek. The Naromoru ascent trail is the shortest and oldest route used by the early explorers on Mt Kenya. From the lower slopes covered by lush montane and bamboo forests, the trail traverses a steep marshy area that occupies part of the lower moorlands popularly known as the “vertical bog”. From the upper moorlands we enjoy stunning views of the majestic peaks as we approach the afro-alpine region. The western Naromoru is wetter than the eastern Chogoria side. The Gorges Valley, Vivienne falls and mushroom rocks are among the stunning features of the Chogoria trail.
