We were totally satisfied with the services and accommodations that you provided. All the hotels were well-located for our needs. Our room was on the top floor, with a nice view. Very clean. The Nagasaki guide was awaiting us the next morning, even though we came down to the lobby a few minutes early. She was totally enthusiastic despite the day-long heavy rain. We listened to each other's suggestions, and she laid out a plan to view the city. She was great! So when the Unzen-Shimabara day came, we thought it would be hard to come up with a better guide. Wrong. Guide#2 had a totally different personality, but she was just as determined to please. She knew alot of history, which we appreciated hearing. I guess the best thing I can say in summary is that we want to go back to Kyushu! And we will definitely keep Global Basecamps in mind.

Ginestra offers twin single beds for those preferring this arrangement. Its private bathroom has a shower. Truly a room with a view - from its windows it is possible to view the sun rise over the mountain tops. $150 including breakfast
Olivella is a small independent room that offers a double bed and has its own private bath with shower. Absolute peace and quiet. From its windows it is possible to view the ancient olive trees. $150 including breakfast
Fragola is another beautifully decorated double room, also with a four-poster queen-size bed, that shares the sitting room with our Pungitopo room. It has its own private bath with shower. $200 Euro including breakfast
Pungitopo under a rose-colored vaulted ceiling also has a four-poster queen-size bed. Its private bath, with sunken tub, offers nothing less than self-indulgence. $200 including breakfast
Fontana del Papa is a junior suite with an open fireplace and independent entrance. Its queen-size four-poster bed is the focal point in a room appointed with tasteful period antiques and lovely linens. A comfortable sitting room allows for relaxation with a good book and the bath, with double shower, offers a touch of luxury. $230 including breakfast
