Egyptian Tour Options
A Few Days in Cairo
Cairo is the largest city in Egypt, Africa, and the Arab World where ancient meets modern off the banks of the Nile River. The city is famous for its beautiful Islamic architecture and glittering modern high rises, but nearby this Egyptian metropolis are the artifacts of the ancient world: the majestic Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Explorers will love discovering Egypt's rich ancient history by visiting the Step Pyramids, the Bent Pyramid, the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the famous Cairo Egyptian Museum, which houses over 120,000 ancient Egyptian artifacts. However, not to be missed is Egypt's modern history at the mesmerizing mosques and titillating bazaars that populate the old Coptic and Islamic quarters of the city. Cairo is truly the gateway to uncovering Egypt's past and present.
Classic Egypt Plus Abu Simbel
Classic Egypt includes the Cairo five day tour described above plus a three night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, stopping at important temples (Philae, Sobex, Karnak, and Luxor, among others), burial grounds, and the mysterious Valley of the Kings. The Classic Egypt plus Abu Simbel tour will take you to all of these sites plus a day tour of the majestic Abu Simbel temples, the famous temples carved into a stone hillside.
Classic Egypt Plus Alexandria
Classic Egypt includes the Cairo five day tour described above plus a three night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, stopping at important temples (Philae, Horus, Sobek, Karnak, and Luxor, among others), burial grounds, and the mysterious Valley of the Kings. The Classic Egypt plus Alexandria tour includes a day trip to Abu Simbel, site of the famous temples carved into the cliff, and a day trip to Alexandria, a modern port city full of remnants from Egypt's Greek and Roman past. The most powerful Mediterranean city in antiquity, Alexandria was famous for both its lighthouse (one of the destroyed Wonders of the Ancient World) and for being the beacon of Hellenic culture for both Egypt and the Arabian and Indian East.
Off the Beaten Track
This Off the Beaten Track tour takes visitors through Egypt on the roads less traveled. Explorers will travel Egypt by car, camel back, horse-drawn carriage, hot-air balloon, and Nile river boat while dining in local restaurants and even a local home.
