Red Mangrove Aventura Lodge

Santa Cruz island is the most important of the inhabitated islands of the Galapagos archipel. Puerto Ayora is the largest town, 15.000 people live and work here mostly in the tourism industry.

Red Mangrove Aventure Lodge is located in Puerto Ayora, on the main island. Its location makes it the perfect place to relax before/after a cruise, or the perfect base for exploring the incredible Galapagos Islands.

Built in 1995, this lodge has a unique architecture design which blends with mangrove forest and seafront, its location allows you to observe the mangrove ecosystem in action as well as the best view of Puerto Ayora's bay.

It has 14 guest rooms divided in 2 areas, seaside, or inside the mangrove, all equiped with a/c, cable tv, private bathroom and hot water.

It has an excellent sea side restaurante which offers a choice of Japanese or Galapagos fusion cuisine.

The lodge owners are commited to sustainable tourism practices and developing an ecofriendly operation. The lodge is going through a process of international certification for sustainable management while minimizing energy consumption and respecting the local ecosystem. The lodge offers booking assistance for day tours to authorized sites with different tour operators, and they also own operations in snorkeling, horseback riding, or mountain biking tours.
