Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Bogota
Take a breath after arriving and spend some time in the massive and cosmopolitan capital of Colombia. Spend your first night in Colombia recovering from your long flight and taking some time to adjust to the altitude (2600 meters high).

Day 2 - Bogota
Soak up the cultural scene in the colonial old quarter, take part in a walking or bike tour around the city, visit museums and galleries.

Day 3 - Zipaquira Cathedral
Today you will embark on a daytrip to the biggest salt cathedral on the planet, near Bogota in the town of Zipaquira. Visit this fascinating landmark and discover the history behind this how this salt mine turned in to a chapel.

Day 4 - Bogota - Amazonas Reserve
Today you will head to the airport for your departure flight to the hear of the Amazon Rainforest. Spend the nights in your private hut nesteled in the tree tops of the jungle.

Day 5 & 6 - Amazonas Reserve
The next few days you will explore the rainforest and visit the small local indigenous communities to learn first-hand about their customs and their interactions with the outside world.

Day 7 - Puerto Nariño
A boat transfer will take you to the small sustainable village of Puerto Nariño. The town stands out for its orderliness, cleanliness, and the absence of pollution, because among other things, in spite of having paved streets, there are no cars. A trip to Puerto Nariño’s lookout point is a must. It provides a 360º view over the Amazon Jungle.

Day 8 - Amacayacu National Park
A twenty-minute river journey from Puerto Nariño takes visitors to Amacayacu Park. Among the many things to do in this protected area are outings on the Nainekumaw trail, canoeing on the Matamata stream, climbing trees and walking through the canopies, visiting aboriginal tribes, and sailing on the floating house.

Day 9 Amazon Departure
Air transfer back to Bogota or any other Colombian city.
