Located 2,000 meters above sea level in the heart of China, Banyan Tree Lijiang is 15 minutes away from the UNESCO designated World Heritage Site historical town of Dayan. Banyan Tree Lijiang's luxurious villas reflect the rich fabric of this locale through their design and furnishings. Inspired by local Naxi culture, pink stone, grey Naxi bricks and traditional red clay roof tiles were used for construction and the incorporation of courtyards and a series of interconnected canals is in true imperial style.
Banyan Tree Lijiang offers 55 stunning single-storey villas that are oriented Northeast, with breath-taking views of the legendary Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The villas are spacious, each measuring at least 350 square meters with private gardens and heated outdoor Jet Pools or plunge pools. There are a total of 40 Garden and Deluxe Garden Villas, 13 Pool and Deluxe Pool Villas, one Two-Bedroom Pool Villa and one Presidential Villa.
Banyan Tree Spa Lijiang offers six exquisitely furnished and spacious treatment rooms with attached showers, and one treatment pavilion specially equipped with Rainmist facilities and attached bath. Other facilities include a Hair salon, Yoga Pavilion and a Gym. A Tea Lounge attached to the Spa offers a fine selection of Lijiang's famous mountain teas.
Sophisticated dining is available at Ming Yue and Bai Yun, the resort's all-day dining venues. Ming Yue cafe offers International and buffet-style meals, while Bai Yun sets the stage for banquet style dining. Wen Hai bar and lounge, named after a neighboring lake, is a parlor with a fireplace and comfortable seats for planning one's treks and explorations.
Banyan Tree Lijiang offers exclusive treks with experienced guides. Beside the old town of Lijiang, there are numerous natural and cultural attractions in the area. Baoshan stone village, surrounded by cliffs, is where everything, including beds and ovens, is made of stone. At Baisha township, the 53 groups of Baisha frescoes at Dunhuang provide a fascinating insight into the history of Chinese painting and Tibetan Buddhism.
