Serrano River Excursions
Serrano River, Chile
Prices From: $380
The Serrano River is a river located in the Antarctic Region of Chile, the Chilean Patagonia. These excursions are the perfect compliment to one of our Torres del Paine excursions.
The Serrano River is best explored in river kayaks. Untouched and pristine geography surround the Serrano River, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and glaciers that define this remote area of Patagonia. The most notable features along the Serrano River are the Campo de Hielo Sur (The Southern Ice Fields), the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers, the Paine massifs, and the Patagonian native forests.
Expeditions begin in Torres del Paine National Park and travel southward towards Puerto Natales. After two days of paddling and two nights of camping along the river, the expedition concludes with a boat ride on Last Hope Fjord and a trip to Bernardo O’Higgins National Park, which boasts a rugged landscape that is home to Pío XI, the largest glacier in the Southern Hemisphere outside of Antarctica.
