Set on a property of 1.5 ha, the Hotel Altiplanico has a panoramic view of the shoreline on one of the world's most unique destinations. Hotel Altiplanico Easter Island is designed in the style of a traditional Easter Island boathouse, with luxurious gardens, a beautiful swimming pool overlooking the sea, and large open spaces to relax after encountering the seductive mysteries of the island. The deep blue of the Pacific Ocean will be a comfort to your well-being in addition to the warmth of the Easter Island culture, with its lively music, art, history and architecture.

Rapanui roots are present at all times in the hotel, starting with the evocation of a Rapanui boat house on the exterior walls. Green areas and gardens constitute one of the most important objectives of the project; they generate a lush, cool, colorful and shaded living space to relax from the harsh sun. Guests will feel, understand and learn to respect the island as the archaeological-cultural monument that it is and thus participate in its care during their stay. The hotel exterior is painted with motifs of the island in predominantly black paint, the color used in traditional objects.

Rooms are independent units, linked by exterior corridors of stone, sand, or grass, and each has a private terrace. Internal distribution is simple, privileging the view and openness to the outside. To enhance privacy, the units are surrounded by flowers, shrubs and trees. The bathroom shower opens to the exterior to feel closer to nature given the climate is very warm. Decoration is simple but careful; each room is different to personalize the experience. All are spacious and comfortable, with fantastic views of the ocean. Visitors are encouraged to live outdoors, enjoy the view and the landscape, and absorb Easter Island’s unique energy.
