Lake House

The Lake House, nestled in 2.5 hectares of gardens on the shore of beautiful Lake Daylesford, is located where naturally occurring springs bubble crystal clear water into a myriad of baths and parks. The rooms and suites are surrounded by several acres of beautiful manicured gardens, waterfalls and streams. Take a few days to recharge in the fresh air. Enjoy a quiet read in the spacious lounge or on the terraces overlooking the water. Have a hit of tennis followed by a massage and some soaking in the Salus Spa.

The Lake House dining room sunlit by day, boasts magnificent views through its large expanse of windows. At dusk, the kookaburras fly in to be fed on the outdoor terraces. The restaurant glows with the magic and romance of candlelight. Lake House showcases a menu which pays homage to the best available seasonal produce and the efforts of the regional suppliers. A team of talented and dedicated young cooks under the direction of Executive chef Alla Wolf Tasker work from the ground up producing virtually everything on the premises.

The Lake House Cellar houses approx 10,000 bottles between the long term holding area and the impressive short term cellar. The list highlights many of the surrounding regions' flagship bottles and boutique gems sitting happily alongside some of the world's most renowned labels.

The state of the art Salus Spa at Lake House is surrounded by waterfall fed streams. The Salus sparkling mineral water is offered on a complimentary basis. This mineral rich flavorsome water originates at a selected local spring and is bottled specifically for us. Salus Spa offers nine treatment areas from idyllic hot mineral water tubs in private tree houses overlooking Lake Daylesford, to the latest in European spa treatments and technology.

A myriad of bushwalking tracks meander from the property. Nearby are boating facilities, local wineries, excellent artist's studios and galleries, places of historical interest, magnificent gardens and an 18-hole golf course complete with kangaroos.
