Kooljaman at Cape Leveque is a multi award winning Aboriginal owned wilderness camp. It is a beautiful remote paradise offering a quiet place to get away from it all. Cape Leveque is a popular spot to fish, swim and snorkel or just sit back and relax. We are located 220kms north of Broome on the Dampier Peninsula. Access is either by air or 4WD (road transfers available).
Accommodation Options
Accommodation options range from safari tents and cabins to beach shelters. Camping with your own gear is also available.
Safari Tents: the stunning safari tents are built on raised timber decking high on the hillside to take advantage of the panoramic ocean views. All are set up for families with a queen bed and 2 single beds. Each tent has its own large balcony, a private bathroom, quality fixtures & fittings, full size fridge/freezer, all cooking equipment, linen and a gourmet gas barbecue on the veranda.
Ensuite Cabins: set just back from the beach in a secluded bush setting, each cabin has a private toilet & shower. Cabins come equipped with mosquito nets, ceiling fans, fridge/freezer, tea & coffee making facilities, an outdoor setting and a gas barbecue.
Log Cabins: These charming cabins are made from bush poles with a tin roof and opening shutters with toilet/shower facilities being shared between two cabins. Each cabin sleeps 4 people and features open construction, some have ocean views.
Campground Units: the units are located in the campground. Each sleeps up to 4 people and contains ceiling fans, fridge/freezer, basic camping style cooking equipment, tea & coffee and all linen. There is an outdoor setting and gas barbecue at each unit. Ablution facilities are located next door and shared with the campground.
Dining
Dinkas Restaurant overlooks Kooljaman’s Eastern Beach with delightful views from the Alfresco dining area. The restaurant offers a range of seafood, salads, steak and pasta dishes. Main meals range from $25 through to $40. Delicious entrees and deserts are also available. Takeaway lunches and dinners are available from our shop most evenings, guests may choose from homemade hamburgers, steak burgers, seafood baskets, fish & chips and salad rolls. We do not sell alcohol at Kooljaman though you are most welcome to bring your own. Children’s meals are available and special dietary requirements can usually be catered for by prearrangement.

The stunning safari tents are built on raised timber decking high on the hillside to take advantage of the panoramic ocean views. All are set up for families with a queen bed and 2 single beds. Nightly rates: $240 per night (twin share), $25 per additional adult, $10 per additional child (3-16yrs). Minimum 2 night stay.
Ensuite Cabins:
Set just back from the beach in a secluded bush setting, each cabin has 1 queen bed & 3 single beds along with a private toilet & shower. Cabins come equipped with mosquito nets, ceiling fans, fridge/freezer, tea & coffee making facilities, an outdoor setting and a gas barbecue. Basic camping style cooking equipment is supplied and includes pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, tea towel and dishwashing requirements.
Nightly rates: $140 per night (twin share), $25 per additional adult, $10 per additional child (3-16yrs). Minimum 2 night stay.
Log Cabins (Shared Bathroom):
These charming cabins are made from bush poles with a tin roof and opening shutters with toilet/shower facilities being shared between two cabins. Each cabin sleeps 4 people (1 queen bed & 2 singles) and feature open construction, some have ocean views. They have all of the facilities as listed above for the Ensuite cabins with the exception of the private toilet & shower.
