Estancia San Alonso is a 56,000 hectare (138,000 acres) ranch located in the middle of the Esteros del Iberá. Historically, San Alonso had been managed as a large cattle operation up until 1996, when it was purchased by The Conservation Land Trust (CLT) for land conservation purposes. The uniqueness of its location and its relative isolation gives this ranch high conservation value and today it serves as one of the key areas for CLT's species reintroduction program that is ongoing in the Esteros del Iberá. The combination of eco-tourism and conservation in San Alonso allows visitors to see this private conservation area and get to know the flora and fauna of the esteros in a private atmosphere.
The main house of San Alonso sits at the shore of the Paraná Lake in the middle of the Esteros del Iberá and is coolly shaded by a grove of old lapacho and timbo trees. From there, visitors can walk or ride out onto the savannah through native forests and around waterways. There is also a boat which will take visitors out around the Parana Lake and up the well known Carambola River.

Rates include all services, food and activities during your stay. Soft drinks are included in the price and wine and cocktails are additional.
- Children under the age of 3 years stay free of charge.
- Children between the ages of 3 and 6 stay at a 75% discount if they are sharing a room with their parents.
- Children between the ages of 6 and 10 stay at a 50% discount if they are sharing a room with their parents.
- No pets are allowed.
Cancellation Policies
There is no charge for cancellations made 30 days in advance. Up to 15 days in advance we charge a 30% cancellation fee and cancellations made up to one day before the booking will be charged 40%. Cancellations on the day of the reservation or "No Shows" will be billed at the full rate for the night.
